What

This scholarship is for those who look to positively impact the world through their craft, innovation, or expression of their passion.

The purpose of this scholarship is to facilitate the expression and application of a student’s exhibited passion by providing the means to obtain post-high school education at an accredited college in a field directly related to their passion.

This is not a need based, sports based, or academic based scholarship.

The Fund will award a total of $10,000 toward up to four scholarships each calendar year.

Why

Most scholarships today are based on either financial need, or performance in sports or academics. While each of these has merit, The Bailey Passion Scholarship Fund saw that students who excelled in a passion other than sports or academics were not being offered the same financial opportunities to further their passion through secondary education.

About

The Bailey Passion Scholarship Fund was formed in 2016 by the co-founders to provide high school seniors attending a Portland Public School (“PPS”) the enhanced ability to pursue their passion as a career through the award of scholarships toward a post-high school education program.

A student’s passion can be anything. The co-founders have each built their careers around their individual passions – design and real estate.  One is an art form, the other is not.  Passion can be derived from anything that brings someone joy so profound that it motivates them to excel in it.

The intention of the Scholarship is to identify students who have a clear and proven passion that can be applied through their career in a way that can positively impact the world.

If you have a passion that you feel has the potential to positively impact the world if provided the means to further education, we encourage you to apply
